Harvesting and BBQ Experience in Tokyo

Introduction

How about being a part of Japanese farmer life and harvest fresh vegetables?
You will also have a chance to interact with local people and cook fresh vegetables in Japanese way.

Have you taste just-harvested vegetables? It is so fresh and tastes different! This is a great opportunity where you can casually enjoy harvesting fresh vegetables within Tokyo for people who have limited travel time but interested in Japanese urban agriculture experience and taste them at the site!

EcoFarm Takahashi

EcoFarm Takahashi is located in Mitaka city, which is only 25 min. away from Shinjuku and Shibuya station and has over 300 years of history in agriculture. Mr. Yoshi Takahashi, manager, studied in Canada and is capable of speaking English. EcoFarm Takahashi is the only farm in Tokyo who obtained a certification of certification of eco-agricultural products by Tokyo (minimal usage of agricultural chemicals) and awarded a number of show prizes in quality of vegetable products. Their “urban style” system is to produce various kinds of vegetables in low-volume to match with customer needs and seasons, and always challenge to crop new kinds of vegetables to satisfy consumers.

Harvestable Vegetables

Here is a list of vegetables by the seasons that you can enjoy harvesting and tasting at the site. It is simply amazing how tasty the harvested fresh vegetables are. Experience the difference! Let's also enjoy with Japanese BBQ during Summer or Japanese-style hot pot during Winter. Please feel free to contact us for any questions. We will be looking forward to meeting with you!
