Experience the Traditional Japanese Dance and Kabuki make-up
IntroductionWith this experience you will be able to experience the traditional side of Japan, with Japanese Buyo (traditional Japanese dancing) and Kabuki Buyo with Kabuki make-up!
Japanese Buyo is Japanese classical dancing that tells a story thats expressed through dance to the rhythm of song and instrument. The kimono worn by the performer and the patterns on them helps with expressing the story as well. In many Japanese dancing you may find yourself seeing a fan (sensu) that the dancer uses. This helps the dancer to interpret the poetry by representing many things and illustrating many moods. Like if the song was talking about a hot summer day, the dancer could use the fan to show how hot it is, or if the dancer want to depict a windy day, the dancer could use his/her entire body to show the effect.
After you finish the Japanese buyo portion of the program you will be next introduced to an another Japanese traditional dance, the Kabuki. Here you will be doing the "MIE" pose, which you may had seen for being its over-exaggerated facial expression and its posing stance on TV or elsewhere.
After watching the performance from the specialist and the explanation of all the props for these traditional dancing you get to try on the Kabuki make up yourself!
It will surely be a memorable experience, show off to your friends and families back home of your Kabuki look and awesome pose with this experience!
