Let's learn and experience Noh-gaku and Tea ceremony (Sado) with this tour. There is an English speaker who will translate for you. Please feel free to contact us.

Noh-gaku

What is Noh-gaku?
Noh-gaku is a Japanese traditional art (performance). Its history is even longer than Kabuki and it is listed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. 

There are 3 types of classes during this experience

A. Appreciate a short Noh performance (10min) + Learn about Noh + Wear Noh mask experience
3 Noh players will perform with wearing special costume. You can wear iconic mask called "Noh-men" which shows the roles of ghosts, women, children, and the elderly.

B. Appreciate a short Noh performance and traditional instrumental music called "Hayashi" (15min) + Wear Noh mask experience
+ Learn about traditional instrument

You will appreciate Hayashi in this class. It is composed of flute, small hand drum and 2 types of Japanese drums. Noh players will introduce you these instrument one by one.

C. Appreciate full scaled Noh performance (45min) + Wear Noh mask experience + Learn about traditional instrument
5 Noh players will perform full scaled Noh-gaku.

Tea ceremony (Sado)

What is Tea ceremony?
Tea ceremony is a mental training by making tea started by Sen no Rikyu. It is also famous that we make tea when welcoming people. It is believed that the hospitality mind is important.

In this class, you will either appreciate or experience tea ceremony performance, taste green tea and Japanese sweets. You can choose the duration from ・60min ・90min ・120min
*Smoking is forbidden for both programs
*Foods and Drinks are forbidden for Noh-gaku program
*Please wear socks for Tea Ceremony program

A
If you cancel at least 7 calendar days in advance, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 4 and 6 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 3 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.

B & C 
If you cancel at least 30 calendar days in advance, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 15 and 29 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 4 and 14 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 75% cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 3 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.

Tea Ceremony

If you cancel at least 7 calendar days in advance, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 4 and 6 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
