Come and join this program to learn how to make "Tonkatsu" dish.
Tonkatsu is a Japanese style deep-fried pork breaded cutlet. Two types of meats are normally used to make Tonkatsu - fillet and loins. Usually Tonkatsu is served with shredded cabbage, miso soup, and rice.

Tonkatsu is also used for different kinds of Japanese dishes, such as Katsu-don, rice bowl with slices of pork cutlet on top with egg. Other dishes are Tonkatsu-curry, Katsu-sando (Tonkatsu Sandwich).
Tonkatsu is definitely a must-try dish while you are in Japan.

With this program, you will be doing the following

1. Making the base of the Miso Soup
2. Making the Miso soup
3. Making of Ponzu Sauce (Type of Vinegar in Japan)
4. Dried Plum Condiment Making
5. Shredding the Cabbage
6. Grating the Radish
7. Side Dish - Simple Pickles Making
8. Preparing the Pork
9. Breading the Pork (Mixing the Flour Wheat and Egg as the base)
10. Making Furikake (Dried seasoning you put on Rice for flavor) by using the ingredients that were used in making the Ponzu sauce. (Dried Bonito and Kombu Seaweed)
11. Frying
12. Plating your creation
