Ise-Shima National Park

Introduction

Easy access from Osaka and Nagoya. Ise-Shima National Park is very unique due to communities being formed in the park. These people has lived in the national park and created the culture and traditions that is known today.

The Ise National Park has grew from the land’s mythological teaching, and the rich seafood of the Rias Coast, it is an area where the people live with the land. Because of the rich culture and natural beauty, it strangely brings people close together, it could be the reason why in the past there were international meetings such as the G7 Summit that was held in this island.

Oise Mairi : There is a specific way of praying, Omairi for Ise Jingu. Visit the Geku shrine first and then Naiku shrine later. It takes approximately 3 hours to visit both shrines in Geku and Naiku. By doing so you show your gratitude to the divine spirit.

Oharaimachi/Okage Yokocho : 800 m of beautiful stone pavement arcade filled with restaurants and souvenir shops that visitors can enjoy after visiting the shrine.

Matsuzaka Beef Lunch: Ise is the home of Matsuzaka beef.

Katsuo: Katsuo is one of the most important fish on the Japanese menu.  Skipjack tuna is used extensively in Japanese cuisine. You can visit Katsuo No Tempaku where you can see and experience how to make Katusobushi.
